Melville Press is a regional catalog for the New England home of Herman Melville’s Arrowhead. Our first publishing endeavor was to bring together for the first time a book of poetry written at the end of Melville’s life. Until now this wonderful book was only available in a larger volume. In fact many do not consider Melville for his poetry. We are very proud of this book.
In addition we have published Baseball in the Berkshires, a detailed and illustrated look at the origins of the Summer Game. It has an extensive history in the Berkshires of Massachusetts and is a great addition to any baseball fans library as its import extends far beyond the region.
We are always looking for Melville oriented books as well as those related to other Berkshire Literary Luminaries. We are open to other suggestions for books that relate to the region or to the era in literary history.
